XIV: Four Unauthenticated Poems by the Emperor

FIRST POEM:

air-body and diamond body, image and mirror image

i. immortal soul/image

body fills us with terror
thinking one day we'll die.
soul adjusts this error
gives body the lie.

body dense and distracted,
depleted, riven with pain.
body and death attracted
one with the other has lain.

body and death together
immuted, fix-ed, one.
each to the other must gather,
neither can live on its own.

soul and eternity clamour
to melt, to merge, to meet.
to body they gave the disclaimer,
to death the winding-sheet.

soul and eternity, fus-ed,
in substance one, unalloyed
the body of air created,
death and destruction destroyed.

a phoenix shall rise from the fire,
into the sky shall soar
higher and higher and higher
blue flames of destruction roar.

the body of air has departed
no more claimed by earth.
the dance of eternity's started
tramples the image of death.

ii. diamond body/mirror image

but what if body with eternity goes
and soul with death conjoins?
the aerial body in death-throes
the plain of eternity spurns

returning to the place of solid earth?
if anti-selves transcend the other selves?
then we shall see the deathlike second birth
of our immortal bodies' mortal souls.

what a state now opens to our view,
all reversed and topsy-turvy thrown!
endless soul on soul reborn anew
in Diamond Body now immortal grown.

Diamond Body is universe, is all
we reborn into it soul on soul
thru all time and in no time, in the now
which is forever and is whole.

SECOND POEM:

an act of love

i.
with those eyes
and with that clear tan skin
with those eyes, those black eyelashes
and the whites of those clear eyes

looking over your shoulder
chin half hidden by your shoulder's curve
such a clear skin curve
looking over your shoulder

you half smile, you smoulder

and all the perfect shapeliness of you

ii.
those eyes call for kisses
beg my kisses on your eyelids
on your shoulder's curve
rough lips against smooth skin
hands upon the shapeliness of you
tongue against the flesh against the skin

tongue in in in
going in

and all your tender sighs
your half closed eyes
your eyelids lowering

iii.
you lift, I enter
through the cleft centre
going in in in
coming out and going in
rubbing rubbing
coming out and going in
softest softest gently rubbing skin
against skin against skin
coming out and going in

then the music climaxes within
skin to skin the music climaxes
we bring our offering, we bring
our closure and spurting climaxes
within within

iv.
with those eyes
with those clear eyes
and with your pursed full lips
you smile the softest smile

I stroke your perfect skin
I stroke your skin
kisses kisses kisses all the while

THIRD POEM:

the pornography of marble statues

so many images of desire
desire slackens
or else grows overbold
then overblown

FOURTH POEM:

meditation

light trickles thru light
like clear glass in water
here and there are one

the diamond body circulates in darkness
a spinning fiery Catherine-wheel
in silence against the silence of All Time

brightness increases
the undivided light
forms rainbow patterns
coruscating in unison
a pulsing giant star
rhythm and counter-rhythm of the blood

breath grows lighter lighter
air is stilled
the diamond body twinkles
and is extinguished

nothing nothing nothing now
but light
